IBM MQ support for large queues

Many messaging patterns encourage keeping queue depths to a minimum. However, IBM MQ supports queues larger than 2 TB for scenarios requiring more significant historical message storage; for example during downstream outages that can cause a significant backlog of messages for processing.

A performance report is available that describes significant performance enhancements made to queue manager restart times in the 9.1.1 continuous delivery release, and demonstrates how these enhancements also apply to large queues. These enhancements are also available in IBM MQ 9.2 and later Long Term Support releases)
