CICS Bundle Manifest Editor Defined Resources policies and Project Explorer policies out-of-sync after a delete action

Question & Answer

Question

if I remove the a policy definition from the 'Defined resources' box in the CICS Bundle Manifest Editor, or from a right-click 'Delete' in the Project Explorer or Resources views, why doesn't the other view reflect the deletion of the policy resource? I think the CICS Explorer views should stay in sync with one another. I don't see any type of refresh button.

Answer

When the CICS Explorer views are out of sync like this is most likely caused by some type of corruption in the Eclipse workspace.

Try switching to a brand new workspace and import your projects across into the new workspace:

  1. Select File > Switch workspace then create a brand new workspace

  2. Select File > Import. Filter for "existing" and choose "Existing projects into workspace&quot, and click Next

  3. Browse to your old workspace. Select all projects and tick "Copy projects into workspace"

  4. Click Finish

Afterwards, retest and verify whether the Project Explorer and Defined Resources view in Bundle Manifest Editor are in sync.
