Question & Answer
Question
How do you determine what fixes are available for your IBM Security Product?
Answer
This Technote outlines how you can discover available patches for the following IBM Security Systems products at any currently supported firmware version.
All of our product patches are developed by our Level 3 Support organization and published to the IBM Support: Fix Central tool.
To meet export compliance requirements, an IBM id is required to authenticate before downloading any fixes. If you do not have an IBM id, you can create one here.
Once logged into IBM Support: Fix Central, you will see a page containing a form that looks something like this:
This form needs to be filled out in a specific manner to browse available fixes for our products. The following is a list of the appropriate selections for each of our supported products. Subsequent selections will become available as options are chosen in the drop-down boxes.
Once the appropriate Product Group, from Security Systems, Installed Version, and Platform selections has been made, click the Continue button.
On the next page, choose the Browse for fixes option and click Continue.
You will now see all available patches and fixes for your previously selected product version. You can view Readme files which contain the fixes included in each patch as well as the installation instructions. You also have the option to download the binary packages for the listed fixes.
