ASMA057E nnnnn/@ID when assembing KLSA2NEV after upgrading CA ACF2

Question & Answer

Question

When I assemble CL/SuperSession member KLSA2NEV, why am I receiving message ASMA057E Undefined operation code - 03276/@ID? I did not receive message ASMA057E before upgrading to CA-ACF2 V15.

Answer

KLSA2NEV, as supplied in the IBM CL/SuperSession product sample library, requires assembly using the CA ACF2 MACLIB.
The @ID macro for CA ACF2 is no longer distributed with version 15. The replacement module is @IDDIST.

Change the "@ID C=NO" in the CL/SuperSession KLSA2NEV source to "@IDDIST C=NO", and assemble and link-edit the member - that should resolve the issue.

The new macro @IDDIST is coded in several samples in the CA ACF2 V15 manuals, but it is not available to IBM to test or distribute. CL/SuperSession customers using CA ACF2 have installed and tested this change to sample member KLSA2NEV, however the change has not been tested nor verified by IBM. It is provided as an example for customer development only.
